News Bulletin from the Sick Room

We've had a wave of sickness hit our house this week! Katherine came home early from school on Wednesday. We found out Thursday afternoon that she had Strep Throat. Andrew woke up on Saturday Morning complaining that he couldn't breathe. Sure enough, he had an attack of the "false croup." (I don't know if there is such a thing, but that is what the doctors in the emergency room called it when we took him in six years ago for the same problem. He gets these attacks two or three times each year when the weather gets cold and they are always terrifying!) He has had a nasty cough ever since. I found out that I have a bacterial infection of some kind or other, so Katherine and I get to have races to see who can get their awful medication down first! After three trips to the pharmacy in two days we are all finally on the road to recovery. I hope. I guess we'll see after my doctor's appointment tomorrow...

Hope everyone's on the mend. Illness at home is no fun.

Is there any chance that Andrew has asthma? It sounds just like Hannah's atypical asthma (cough-variant), although I will admit that her bi-annual "attacks" couldn't be classified as terrifying, just very stressful and noisy. Just a thought, anyway....

I feel like an awful sister for not knowing you all were sick. I guess it has been too long since I called. I will have to fix that, perhaps this afternoon. Hope everyone feels better soon.

It is terrible when everyone is sick, but if that everyone includes mom you've got trouble!

Hope you all recover quickly!
