Eternal Optimist

Will there ever come a time when I feel like I have time to sit and type? I'm beginning to think NO! There is always something else and that needs doing now - and I mean RIGHT NOW. It used to be that I composed stories or journal entries in my head as I washed dishes or folded clothes, but more and more I find myself wandering through space, so to speak. Actually, I suppose that isn't quite true. More and more I find myself wondering where my family will be a year from now. And worrying about whether or not we have enough food storage or if I should start looking into Home schooling my children. There are times that i feel down right panicky about the direction this world is taking. But who wants to read my blog for a steady diet of doom and gloom? This week I will immerse myself in the task of sewing Lida's Easter dress and drumming up a slip for Katherine to wear with her new dress (I'd appreciate any suggestions on where to look...). Perhaps that will give me a better perspective. Considering how much I dislike sewing, i have my doubts, but we can always hope, right?

Don't gasp, but we usually find slips at Dillard's, and they're not usually at staggering prices either, but they carry a decent variety. Oh, and don't get carried away with the doom and gloom--your family has you, and that's one of the best assets they can have!

I too worry about most of what you listed, particularly the home schooling my children. If Stuart wasn't a teacher I would probably already be doing it.
As for slips...um I've never tried to make one and we usually get ours at Sears. I've been tempted to make one, but slippery fabric scares me a little bit!

I consider home schooling Eric sometimes, but just because of how he and school mix. It is not good. If posting doom and gloom makes you feel better, then do it. I see my blog as a release sometimes.
As for slips, I made Noel's. It wasn't very hard. Since you said you don't really enjoy that kind of thing, it probably won't work for you though.
