This Little Piggie...Took a Sneak Peek

Our little Lida is growing up fast. For some time now she has insisted on eating solid foods - and when I say insisted, I mean INSISTED. From just before Thanksgiving she throws a monumental tantrum if we all sit down to eat dinner together and don't offer her anything. So, we started her out on the ususal - rice cereal, bananas, applesauce and moved on from there. As you can see, this girl likes her groceries. Long gone are the days when Mommy gets to eat a hot meal...

More recently, Lida has figured out how to roll over from her back to her tummy. (She has been able to go from her tummy to her back for several weeks now.) I put her down by the Christmas tree while I ran into the kitchen for a few minutes and came back to find her busily investigating the packages under the tree. It just so happens that the gift she is attempting to open is her own. She does look a little guilty, don't you think?
This last picture is Lida helping me make bread. Lida doesn't like sitting down on the floor and looking at my knees - I can't think why? They are the most attractive part of me... At any rate, the only way I can get her to sit and be happy while I'm in the kitchen is to set her on the counter and let her "help." Lida is facinated by the mixer - she likes to watch the dough hook go around and around. Good thing the bowl has a "locking" lid on it! I have a feeling that she is going to make a great cook one day. As you can see, she likes food and she has already figured out that you have to taste your cooking from time to time to make sure you get it right!

What a beautiful baby!! I was just thinking about Lida the other day wondering if she was rolling over or close to crawling and all that stuff. Thanks for the update, it was really nice!!

I love these pictures! I can't count how many "baby eating" pictures I have of my kids (especially Noel). There is just something about a baby that says, "Take my picure, PEASE!"
