Something New...

Lida has learned a new skill. Well, I don't know if she LEARNED it - strictly speaking - or just discovered it, but she has decided that pushing things is the way to get around. Lida hasn't really shown any interest in walking yet, crawling is still a lot easier (and faster), but she is very keen to show off her physical prowess. Now if we could just get her pants to stay on...

This picture was taken on Easter Sunday so my kids could show off their new Easter clothes. Katherine insisted on picking out the fabric for their dresses - pink AGAIN. I wasn't going to make them "matching" dresses, but she insisted on that too. Anyway, they turned out nice, didn't they? Andrew got a new tie for Easter. Pretty exciting...He was thrilled and it required very little effort on my part, so I don't mind.
On another, unrelated note: I observe, with some indignation, that my readers did not take my request for help with the witch in Rapunzel seriously. So, all I can say is that they need not come begging for my autograph when I finally write an award winning Young Adult novel based on the fairy tale. So there!!

I love the Easter dresses! They look so cute, even matching. Andrew looks more like Tyler everytime I see him.

Rachel,
Your children are so cute. I love the dresses! You are so talented. I never made my daughter an Easter dress. I did, however, tackle 2 dresses for her for the Pioneer Trek as well as bonnets. I'm horrible at zippers. My kudos to you!!!

I just love Lidas chubby cheeks!! I can't wait to see her in a couple of months! And by the way, I did take your Rupunzel(spelling?) request seriously. I deserve an autographed leather bound copy of your book!! Love you.

The dresses are beautiful! Way to go for making dresses. My girls just got matching skirts, and I didn't finish them till a week too late. Oh well, they were still very happy with them.

I have to admit that I forgot about your Rapunzel question. My suggestion is vengeance. Maybe Rapunzel's parents offended the witch in some way and so she took Rapunzel to get back at them. Don't know if it is any good, but that's my thought.

I love the dresses! I only sew when I don't have a deadline. I guess that is how I do most things actually.

Lida is adorable! Those rosey cheeks look so pinchable!
